Report fly tipping, etc

Residents across Cumberland can now use a new suite of online reporting forms making it easier for them to report environmental issues such as dog fouling, fly tipping, littering, and more.

The new system allows residents to report problems directly from their smartphones or devices while out and about, as well as providing:

  • Automated updates on their reports.
  • Browser-based forms accessible on computers at home or work.
  • Improved data on incidents, including geographical information to help us target ‘hot spot’ areas.
  • Case management including automatic allocation and prioritisation for staff.

This marks the first time a unified approach to reporting environmental issues has been adopted across the whole of Cumberland, streamlining the process for both the public and Council teams.

Residents in the former Copeland area will now be able to report incidents electronically for the first time.

Existing webpages are being updated to redirect users to the new forms. Users of the myCumberland app will be redirected to the new forms, before it is switched off in a few weeks.

This is part of a wider programme to consolidate systems and review digital technologies. Further harmonisation of e-forms in other areas will follow shortly. By reducing the number of systems in use, we can reduce costs and improve the effectiveness of our response teams.

The forms are available on the Cumberland Council website at Street cleaning | Cumberland Council

Residents can continue to report these issues by telephone or by visiting one of the Council’s customer service centres.
