Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has plans to protect Oystercatchers and Common Ringed Plovers at Drigg Point in summer 2025.

Poles and signage will be erected in March 2025 to indicate areas to avoid when walking on the beach to protect the nests of these endangered birds (eggs are laid on shingle and are hard to see).

All signs and posts will be removed in August 2025.
