WEST LAKES U3A  TALK  WEDNESDAY 1st DECEMBER History

A U3A member- MARILYN MARSHALL a researcher for THE DEVIL PORRIDGE MUSEUM Peoples history project will give a presentation about the amazing life of Alice Sherwen of Boonwood ,Gosforth who worked at the Gretna ammunition factory and later travelled the world.   Also Nora Morphet who was awarded a MBE for her work there as well as Thomas Nasmyth.

Wasdale Local History Group and U3A will jointly host a presentation by AMY BATEMAN (wild life photographer of the year winner) entitled

“MY LIFE, FARMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY”

It will include photos of WASDALE SHEEP GATHERING 2020—not to be missed!–hope to see you there.
